Knowing Someone Who Self InjuresKnowing someone who self injures is often not easy. Self Injury is often times hard to understand and no textbook can tell you what SI means to any specific person. There is often no where to go to gain support and understanding of this issue.
So what should you do if you notice someone you know is self injuring? If you notice someone you know is self injuring don't stay quiet. Pull them aside and speak to them calmly about it. Ask them why they are doing it and what you can do to help. Also, help them find professional treatment so that they can get better and be healthy.
